 It appeared in the Headline story today [Wednesday, January 25, 2012 run date] of my most loved financial columns http://www.fin24.com which in turn is owned by Media24, a name you will recognize from a previous Blog.  In other respects, but excluding my respect, they represent the big guys that you find amongst investment bankers, weapon smugglers, con-artists and  other Politicos and the general Crook-in-Chief schmucks that we see in Davos every year.  Oops, I almost forgot options, derivative and future option dealers, the rich guys stealing from the poor.

 A year from tomorrow will present another test of how people prefer the lie to the truth; my buddy from Upper New York State will say that fairy tales go down better than old-fashioned truth.

 So I changed the name of the Post and decided to dedicate it to people who believe that Obama is now the undisputed Fairy Prince of all Arabia, that post-Gadaffi Libya will crown him as the heir and provider of all good things and that he will truly be loved by all. Darn it, why did China, Russia and Germany try to throw a spanner into things just when he had the world at his feet?

 Take this one that I am tempted to call the Panama, Carter, South Africa and Washington Post Conspiracy.  You must look it up and decide but to disagree with me you have to be naïve enough to actually believe that all CIA Operators have always shared all their secrets with the President of the day.  I mean, what do you want a CIA for if it were not there to look for conspiracies or sometimes turn a deaf ear on a request for investigating one?

 Let me explain briefly.  Blogging gave me the opportunity to become email friends with two American guys who share the humor and ironies of life without rancor or animosity about where we are from and what we are.  We just pass things on by a kind of natural feeling when something amuses one of us.

 One such instance was when one of them shared an email question that he called “SIMPLY AMAZING WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT” on another matter of a conspiracy against the inconvenient truth I would call it.

 Be that as it may, it reminded me of some events a while ago; thus I Googled my computer and later emailed my friend to key this in for a Google search.  You try it.

 That’s all, but you know what happened to me within half an hour after I had pressed the “Send” button in my email.

 I also have to tell you that Google warned had me on a number of occasions in the recent past that somebody from Panama had found entry to my account; they sent me pages full of recent activities on my account and asked me to verify his IP address or whether it was someone known to me, and finally advised me to change my user name and password immediately.  I ignored it because I liked my names but whoever had been messing with me or anyone else [I don’t know] my Google account as you knew it went Pooh on me the day of Thursday, October 20, 2011 at about 13:00 our time [Greenwich + 2].

 Everything was gone; all my old records everything gone, address books and the whole lot.  I tried and tried by following the Google instructions but failed to revive it.  I could not get into my own account; how did the Panama guy get in there?  I hate Panama from this date.

 All I had left were a few emails of a few good friends whose incoming stuff I sometimes forwarded to my other computer where I work on Outlook Express.

 I thought of my old friends at Media24 that I once dealt with in another Post; their name came to mind because I know they are synonymous with mischief, treachery and conspiracies and I know they were involved up to their eyebrows with Rhoodie, Vorster and his gang of miscreants of the time.  I even thought of adding their name to the Google list; you try that one too.  Let me just warn you beforehand that it is a messy business.  I assume you know about President Carter and Panama, Noriega and all of them.  When you read up think about Carter, President Ford, and even into the Reagan years.  With a South African connection, you ask?  You bet, I say.

 Add “CIA” in that Google list, just for the heck of it, hey.  Check poor old Rhoodie out; the poor sod became the fall guy and died in “involuntary self-imposed” exile in Atlanta GA some years ago.

 I have meantime changed my passwords to revive my Google Account.

 We knew Gadaffi well; he was a regular visitor to our shores with his usual entourage of followers with his tent palace and a regular convoy of his own luxury vehicles, including greater security arrangements and more personal body guards than the American President.

 Gadaffi was a personal friend of Nelson Mandela and many in this continent will mourn his passing.  Many of us had no reason to love the guy, leave alone to idolize him, before and after his death.  But the man deserves some respect for the order he stood for in Libya; let us not forget that.

 I am currently off air because a guy from Panama, according to Google, got into my Gmail account and left me stranded; when he got in I was thrown out.  I will be incommunicado while I try to reconstruct Gmail; there will be a Post on it over the weekend.

 Meantime read the only sensible report that I have encountered on Gadaffi’s Libya; believe you me, and tread with caution.

 In a Reuters Report someone submitted this [verbatim, no editing including the name of the country]:

What really was the UN&NATO trying to achieve?”

Don’t rejoice now; far better to wait and not crying afterwards.  Gadaffi might have been an enigma, at his worst and at his best but he was one of the main forces for stability in Africa at his time; he gained the respect of many an enemy for his role in that.

 In short too; the man had some friends; some are very powerful over here and it would be a mistake not to realize it.  He was the subject of many a smile, including how he got to be known as Goatmilk Gadaffi by friends and enemies.  His friends won’t take kindly to any effort to demean a dead man, and many of his enemies knew him as a strong man and a patriot of Libya.

 OK I know young Barrack has his eye on being Emperor of the entire World; though he will never make that for many reasons.  One, he doesn’t have the clout, and two, way east of you stand China and Russia; they will never brook that kind of nonsense.

 But you have had your Emperor for America and a great lad he was.  Read it all for your own selves.
