This is Power

Just read this:

 http://my.telegraph.co.uk/indolessimulatio/blog/2010/02/07/the_deal_of_the_century

“Here in Australia we were running a bit low on cash, what with our massive Christmas spending a few months ago. So we called in a few China-men, spent some $8 million dollars on shovels and put them to work digging a few new holes in the ground. The Result? A contract with one of China’s biggest power companies to export $69 billion worth of thermal coal from new mines in central… etc.”

What happens at Time Warner/CNN/Swampland in the meantime?  This:

 http://swampland.blogs.time.com/2010/02/11/forget-about-homosexuals-in-the-military-lets-talk-about-lesbians/

“Just 44 percent of Americans support “homosexuals” serving openly in the military, if you use the word “homosexuals.” But change that word to “gay men and lesbians” and the poll flips–suddenly 58 percent of the same sample poll sample suddenly support this group serving openly in the military. In other words, perhaps 14 percent of Americans don’t want “homosexuals” to serve openly in the military, but are happy to have “gay men and lesbians” in the same positions.”

Is this even remotely relevant?  Now read:

Are you surprised that China and Russia are leading the World and work with Australia in the South-Western Hemisphere?

Are you surprised that in China the students laugh at Obama?

Poor Obama, Ike! He’s getting the blame for everything now. 😉

    • Ike Jakson Says:

      Yeah Jamie

But he has always blamed Bush for everything. I once heard someone saying that Obama blamed everything on Bush, including the yellow canary that died and the cat that fell in the fish pond and drowned when he tried to catch the yellow canary, and the ingrown toenails of grandma’s pink poodle.

He’s only gritting it back now.

When anything goes, everything goes. Pretty much describes liberalism.

      Thanks 2thirdsrocks

Obama has always presented this outward calm as if he is in full control but I always thought it was faked because of the small things that unhinge him.

The guy cannot take ridicule; he is a mean sombitch but cannot take it to be exposed. It may be his undoing when the people start to laugh at him.

I have also observed a change in the Swampland comments. Two years ago every comment was loaded with syrup; lately people started to question him. And Joe Klein is such a liar. Do spend some time in my Blog if you would. I have posted a lot on Time and the venerable Joe Klein.

I agree Ike. Obama has never accepted responsibility for anything he has or has not accomplished. As a junior senator, he chose to go MIA rather than vote yea or nay. And now that he is in the executive office of the White House, he can no longer go MIA. I stand corrected Ike. Instead of going MIA, BHO goes campaigning.

Since he must spend some time in the capital and since he is president, he must make decisions some of the time and so he waits it out, procrastinates or makes his appearances extremely scarce.

Finally, when the country is up in arms and shouting “where is this guy,” he shows himself while at the same time blaming GWB, the GOP, the bank, Wall Street. the citizenry and anyone else who comes to mind.

He is big on saying “the buck stops with me,” but he doesn’t mean it.

If I were in the military in the midst of Afghanistan, say for instance in the heat of battle, I could care less who has my back and his/her sexuality. Of course, once you ask those on the left, it becomes very muddy.

      Thanks Lady BD

The problem with President Obama is the old “Post Turtle” story in Texas. Someone [as a joke] picked a turtle up and put him upside down on his back on top of the fence post. Picture that in your mind. LOL

The turtle does not belong there, he doesn’t know how he got there and he doesn’t have a clue which idiot had put him up there in the first place.

      Lady BD again.

      Thanks once more.

But that is my point about Time and the Media. You must read the most recent Swampland Post:

      http://swampland.blogs.time.com/2010/02/13/flooding-the-zone/

But back home they spend their Time and your money arguing about gays and lesbians and Miss Sarah who made a note in the palm of her hand. It just doesn’t make sense.

Well that was interesting. I think what Rusty meant is that Iraq is now the closest Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan has ever come to a Democracy, which for that part of the world is in the eye of the beholder.

While everyone jumped on Rusty, I believe they jumped on him/her for the wrong reason without coming clean about it.

There are those who are absolutely desperate to give Obama a victory and so they do what they do. They attack and distract.

The truth is that the president and vice president are taking credit for what I refer to as a “partial accomplishment, if that much,” that in no way belongs to the current administration. That credit DESERVEDLY goes to GWB II.

Furthermore, whatever progress had been made in Iraq is losing ground fast due to the ignorance of the present administration and Obama is hoping like the devil that the world does not catch on until he has achieved his agenda in Iraq.

Obama has done absolutely nothing but set foreign policy on its keister in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Israel and the list goes on.

They take credit for what until very recently they have been lambasting. Why? Because Obama latest fail is about to be exposed to the world. It goes by the name of Iraq as the violence therein rapidly re-escalates and the country fall out of control AGAIN.

Obama is incapable of convincing the world that he’s not a “turtle.” He is in fail mode and has hopelessly lost control of all the tainted realities he is so guilty of spinning.

I do no doubt that Obama has been informed that Iraq is losing ground and he’s getting jumpy. Therefore, he makes an appearance with Joe the Gaff in tow and the smokey glass mirrors come out. Just because Barack Obama says otherwise does not make it so.

As far as the buffoon from the Time rag, he is on assignment to support Obama’s tainted realities and agenda. What a joke.

      • bydesign001 Says:

All those arguments about gays in the military and the spin against Sarah Palin are based on tainted realities and a product of this administration’s propaganda.

The only ones they are kidding are the illiterate moonbats who voted for them so desperate to believe that their messiah walks on water. The amount of taxpayer dollars being wasted on this madness is a crime.

Your first paragraph summation about those democracies “which for that part of the world is in the eye of the beholder.” is so accurate but very few see it or want to admit it.

But Iraq has probably got as close as it will after the removal of Saddam. What I can’t understand is that Obama does not seem to understand that America [with all the allies at that point] was in the war not only with the permission of the “alternative government but actually at their request, and they gleefully hanged the old rogue after the American forces had dragged from a hole in the ground where he was trying to hid. His own people wanted him dead because there was no change of any sort of democracy with him in power.

That the new Iraq government is finding it difficult is just the nature of that kind of country, and is the same with the whole lot of them. The war should maybe have stopped then because “it was won when Saddam was removed” but that area remains what it has always been.

For Obama however, to announce an entire new war in Afghanistan with a bigger surge than he had opposed by Bush in Iraq is ludicrous in the extreme. Everybody opposed that and what he wants to achieve with it only he knows.

As for the Time Rag and the conglomerate owning them, it is all about money. Wars are easy money spinners for some.

    • bydesign001 Says:

This is about Obama attempting to appear tough on foreign policy, of which he does not. How tough can one appear when you bow to everyone and their mother.

To date, Obama has been skirted off of agendas belonging to past administrations as he and his merry band of thugs are incapable of realizing a single original thought between them.

I have been telling anyone who would listen for years that Obama’s agenda is a continuation of GWB II’s.

      • Ike Jakson Says:

        Lady BD

LOL. We have both digressed but I have enjoyed it but now you have brought it back to where I started out.

I will first give you a new word from modern international politics and power play and then get back to topic as you have done.

You know when a kowtow is not a kowtow is a kowtow? Well, that is when you bow-kow-tow, see. And that is why China is now the undisputed World Leader with Australia covering our backsides in the Southwestern Hemisphere.

China will not bow or kowtow to anyone. They don’t care about your politics, race or religion; they don’t believe in this Human Rights bunkum either. They deal in money, and money is Power.

I almost missed your second comment.

It gives me some degree of comfort and satisfaction to see them falling over their own feet to “finish Miss Sarah off” before she actually runs.

This entire demand for, or faith in, some mystical experience that the President is supposed to have is baby talk in America. What you need is someone who admits that he/she is learning and with the People [to ask the People when it is required] is far more important and Miss Sarah fits the bill for me.

I would love to see her as President of America.

  6. bydesign001 Says:

From your lips to God’s ears Ike. When the time is right, I pray that America welcomes Sarah Palin openly.

I must tell you that if I had not witnessed and lived it, I would not have believed that so many Americans could be so gullible when it comes to Obama.

    • Ike Jakson Says:

Par 1: I am crossing thumbs.

Par 2: It was the money. Just take the Rag Conglomerate. They coined billions out of Obama. John McCain was not a commodity that would produce money but Obama was worth ten gold mines to them. He was just a commodity to them but as soon as he tumbles they will leave him.

Stay around. I don’t blog to prove that I am right but I don’t think that I will be proved wrong in this one.

  7. Nolanimrod Says:

Exporting thermal coal, eh. That’s pretty crafty. Keeping all the non-thermal coal for themselves.

    • Ike Jakson Says:

      Nolanimrod

Thanks. And I like your “That’s pretty crafty” observation.

Indeed it is. China is happy; Australia is happy; meanwhile Obama is worried about “We don’t ask and you don’t tell” with gays in the Army.

Al Gore still believes in Global Warming and nobody wants to admit that this World is going to be run on coal and fossil oil for a long time to come, or at least until China and Russia decide that it must change.

You have a boy child for President, sorry to say that.
