To a Blogger called bravo22c

May 23, 2010

Other people and bloggers, whether supporters or otherwise know that I often take issue with the great Media Egos at Time Warner/CNN/Swampland and others for their biased reporting.  I often ask them to substantiate their viewpoints with facts and sources of their information.

Today I take issue with a Big but otherwise unknown Ego for what I regard as the greatest bunch of distortions and lies that he posted in his BlogSite at:

http://bearsy.wordpress.com/2010/05/21/me/

Another Blogger tried to stem the invective set loose by said Bravo but he was rudely pushed aside.

http://bearsy.wordpress.com/2010/05/21/dare-i-say-this/

A second attempt from a kind man to install some reason was brutally rejected at the end of the Blog with a rude “if you can’t substantiate your facts, then bugger off.”

I now challenge this rude gentleman:

Sir, in my view the impressive list of qualifications, positions you have held and are still holding, and the international experience you claim in your Post together make up the biggest set of lies and distortions that I have ever seen in Blogging and in a long career in Finance, that your listed achievements only exist in your fertile imagination.

I request you therefore, Mister bravo22c, substantiate your claims; let us have proof of resources; give us publishable and recorded proof and facts of your experience and achievements.

Otherwise bugger off!

Sour dough makes the Joneses eat stale bread from Wall Street

May 21, 2010

You must have read:

https://ikejakson.wordpress.com/2010/05/20/the-day-that-germany-spoke/

Then you must read an older one:

Take note, or eat the stale bread.

The day that Germany spoke

May 20, 2010

I remember the day in 1990; and basic arithmetic subtraction will tell you that was twenty years ago.

Worldwide Internet was in its infancy but international banking suddenly bloomed.  Money started flowing faster than the speed of light; transactions doubled, trebled and then started multiplying tenfold at a time.

Just more than ten years later 911 put a small red light on but right after that the world went bonkers; when there was not enough money they simply switched the printing presses on.  Economists and investment bankers started adding more zeroes behind their transaction forecasts [and their performance profits] and all reason was cast into the wind.

Nobody believed a cantankerous old sod like me; that is until a few days ago.

Germany has just reminded the World that everyone must not expect the Bundes Republic to jump over the cliffs of Dover with them.  The warning was loud and clear: Germany has not forgotten about their Deutsche Franc.

Why else do you think we suddenly hear voices from Europe mentioning the possibility that the Euro may not last forever?

A Trojan horse named Hillary

May 13, 2010

This will be short.  I received this by email from Kelly Mehlenbacher, HillaryClinton.com and copy/paste for your convenience:

“Did you see President Clinton’s email? This is a special opportunity for you and a guest to spend a day with President Clinton in the Big Apple. If you haven’t entered, don’t worry, there is still time left!

Click here to contribute $5 or more today and be automatically entered to win.

I would never skip a chance to visit New York to see President Clinton, and neither should you. Best of luck!

Kelly
Hillary Clinton for President”

Note who Kelly signs for!

So Hillary is going to try again?  I just wonder whether President Obama knows about Kelly and Hillary.  It will be fun.

It’s early for 2012 but certainly much too early for 2016; then it must be 2012.  Huh?

If the Bosnia snipers missed her …

May 13, 2010

Well, maybe she ran too fast for them …

But she sure got hit this time.  I don’t know whether it was the Huffington Post; it can’t be anything I wrote in:

https://ikejakson.wordpress.com/2010/05/11/a-personal-letter-from-bill-clinton/

Surely not anything in:

https://ikejakson.wordpress.com/2010/05/12/from-a-broken-heart/

Maybe it was something my Blogger Friend wrote in:

http://nolanimrod.com/2010/05/13/flashbacks-in-box/

Whatever, but I found a link in my Blog Stats showing that someone at the following Site had visited my Site 3 times; have a look:

https://contribute.hillarycampaign2008.com/wjc.html?utm_source=sp2991741&utm_medium=e&sc=sp2991741

So many questions arise.  Don’t these people know that there is a recession out there?  A Florida guy wrote into Swampland saying he retired a few years ago but will have to find a job again because he cannot afford his new Healthcare premium of $ 962 a month.  How did these people finance their election campaigns?  If they mismanaged their campaign funds how do they handle public money and your tax dollars in their present positions?  I shudder to even think about it.

From a broken heart

May 12, 2010

I am so ashamed of myself.

It’s about my post scarcely twelve hours ago where I bragged about my personal relationship with Bill and how I was getting ready to spend a day with him in New York, and our pictures in the Newspapers; maybe, so I was hoping, even an appearance standing proudly next to Bill on National television.

https://ikejakson.wordpress.com/2010/05/11/a-personal-letter-from-bill-clinton/

Then it all fell apart when I read another Post.  I am choking with shameful embarrassment so you must read it:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/05/11/win-a-day-with-bill-clint_n_572025.html

Shame on you Bill, really I mean it.  I was looking forward to meeting with you and now this guy in the Huffington Post is saying you sent the same email to hundreds of millions of people, and just to get money from all of us.  You never meant it when you said I may visit you; you lied to me Bill.

There I was yesterday when I got the email and remembering how my heart went out to Hillary two years ago when she related the terrifying experience she had when the Bosnia snipers started shooting at her and little Chelsea.  I was so annoyed with those snipers I was ready to go there and kill ‘em all for what they did to Hillary and little Chelsea.

Why did you lie to me, Bill?  You just want more money, don’t you?  But why did you have to lie to us about it?

A personal letter from Bill Clinton

May 11, 2010

Folks, this is true.  I found it in my Inbox, personally addressed to me by Billyboy and dated 2010, May at 18:20 PM.

The heading goes: JOIN ME IN NEW YORK

Here is the rest [I am so thrilled I give it to you verbatim]:

 “Dear Ike

During the 2008 campaign I had the opportunity to meet Hillary’s supporters from all over the country. I met so many wonderful people and had so many great conversations.

A few months ago, I had a chance to do that again, when the campaign flew one of Hillary’s biggest supporters, who won our previous contest, to New York to visit me. We talked about how Hillary’s doing as Secretary of State and the current state of the world, and about the work of my foundation.

I had such a good time that I’d like to do it again. How would you like the chance to come up to New York and spend a day with me?

Hillary’s campaign still has a few vestiges of debt that I know she would like to see paid in full. Will you reach out today to help Hillary this one last time? If you enter between now and May 18th, you might join me for a day in New York.

Click here to help pay down the last of our campaign debt, and we might fly you to New York to spend the day with me.

I’m so proud of the work Hillary has done as Secretary of State, traveling the world, restoring the country’s alliances, and making America stronger. And as I watch health care reform sweep the country, I can’t help but think about how much she has contributed over the years to make the progress we are making possible.

I know you share my pride in all her accomplishments, and I know how much your continued support means to her.

And yes, she still needs your help. That’s why we’re going to choose one supporter who enters between now and May 18th and fly them and a guest to New York, where they’ll spend a day with me.

Contribute $5 or more today for your chance to join me for a day in New York City.

Thank you for the wonderful support you’ve shown to both me and Hillary over the years. Our lives are richer for knowing you.

Sincerely,
Bill Clinton”

I am gonna frame this and leave it to my grandchildren.

SOS HMS Britannia is sinking

May 9, 2010

The once good and proud ship HMS Britannia has lost a rudder; reports from observers of the looming tragedy indicate that the Captain has been released from command but no replacement has been accepted by a mutinous crew [a motley bunch indeed] and the ship is drifting at the mercy of the waves in treacherous unchartered waters off the coast of the European Union.

What went wrong?  The grand ship that once ruled the waves may go down on what was to be a victory cruise.

Passengers from around the Globe had clamored and scrambled for a place on board; rich men and poor men had fought it out for space and the honor to be part of it; financial wizards mingled with small entrepreneurs and minor as well as great ones in an array of political colors when the ship cruised out with the flying colors of what represented modern Britain on a joy-filled cruise to celebrate the wedding between Great Britain and an even greater Europe.

When the tiny island Kingdom was last in trouble they had America to step in and save them but they have since rejected America; thus no Pax Americano to save them at this hour.

Wait for the tragedy as it unfolds.  Observations in the wider Media right through and including small News Blogs are full of it and reports of internal strife abound.  Everyone blames the other one and nobody seems willing to accept responsibility for the disaster.

Will HMS Britannia be able to avoid destruction, or go down in glory?

Wired by wireless Vodafone

May 7, 2010

A few of us got together and managed to get a temporary wireless Internet Connection rigged up with a small contraption high up in a very high church tower, giving us an alternative connection.  I get the best coverage of all of us [a full signal] because I reside almost in the shadow of the Church Tower.

My landline has since been fixed [we later discovered that it was a water problem from the first early rains] and I start this weekend with two operational alternative connections instead of one half-dead one the past weekend.

In the meantime we have contracted with the Government Security/Communication Tower for our own private relay tower on the hill just outside town from where it will pick satellite connections up via the Government Tower for the “grid in the whole area.”  We may even go for Skype when that comes on line.

Do you understand all of that?  Well, I don’t but I am back half in on two connections and they tell me that we will have two fully operating alternatives before end June.

Hold thumbs, but beware Time Rag.  Your Time has come.

The UK Election

May 7, 2010

The UK Election for 2010 was short and sweet.  It’s done now; the voters got what they deserve and everyone will carry on as before until the next one.

Let us  congratulate them all and wish them well with the decision that each one made in the ballot.

Some countries do it a little different but they did it the way they know best.  Cheers Folks.
