4 All Old Folks around the Globe Part 9 about a Fast Forward to the Past in order to get to the Future in Part 10

May 23, 2018

Something that happened a few days ago made me think of an old Saint in South African Politics; in a way it’s the story my old Blogging Buddy Cheech of Iowa once told about the Bishop who was asked to call the Bama a Saint.  Cheech, where RU?  Come in now and share your wisdom with all of us.

Well, it reminded me about old Saint Langenhoven and his story about donkeys.  I ran it in Facebook and it is a must read if you ever want to get to grips with Africa.

 ad it now:

Having had a career in Statistical Analysis I can tell you by reading the Headline of a Facebook Post what numbers of likely comments can be expected.

In this case getting two was a surprise, but I did expect at least one.

Part 10 is in preparation, in which we will get to Africa and I shall mention the name of Julius Malema in that.  Go ahead and Google that name; take some time on it and get yourself acquainted with a future President of South Africa, by the way highly likely to be renamed to become Azania in the not too distant future.

For the information of my regular WordPress readers, I am Part of the Half of FaceBook readers that are not Donkeys.

4 All Old Folks around the Globe Part 8 about the mess the World was in as 1948 ended, and before that the mess we ended with in 1898.

May 20, 2018

Those of you that is old enough to know must speak out and say how to do it if we are ever going to meet the future in 2048 while we remain dead on course back to the past.

Here I sit today; my Vodacom Internet Connection is working smooth as silk, or butter; everything is fine but my Email is dead as a DODO.

I have lived long enough to have experienced the good and the bad; in fact I can handle both because I know the differences.  There is nothing any asshole can throw at me that I cannot handle and I shall do so with this one too.

If it is War they want War is what they will get.

For those living outside of Africa, I suggest you Google the name of a fellow called Julius Malema.  It is not just about the Land; this War is about Money Control.  The land story will be easy, Julius; it is the Money Control that you will have to destroy.

Julius, young Man, I have girthed my loins; my lances and spears have been sharpened and oiled.

Get ready, young lad; my first targets are nou PEP Stores followed by Velocity Trade and then I am going to expose the SA Financial Services Board [the FSB as they got named by the big Forces that are in control and tell the FSB what they must do].

4 All Old Folks around the Globe Part 6 on Africa Then and Now

April 30, 2018

This is just an Interlude; read Parts One to 5 before you continue with this one.

The World is an old Place; very little is known about the origins and when it came about and I am not going to go into that.  Modern Science and Archaeology are mere speculation about the matter.

All that is documented is from Israel and Egypt; somehow they seem to have been there first and strong bonds still exist between the two countries.

That enables me to draw some sort of a distinction between the Continents of Africa and Europe, but [and a large But, that is], Egypt is there right at the top of the eastern side of Africa and Israel is smack in the middle of what was once referred to as Arabia.  Nobody knows about Russia or China; the so-called West never bothered to find out and these two giants were not ever in the past in the habit of parading around the Globe to announce their virtues.

To me sufficient evidence exist with substantial evidence that the first civilization came about in these four Countries; then Greece followed with the first and to me still the finest, “schools” of philosophy.

Italy remains a mystery; whatever and how they managed to grab control of early Christianity and keep it in Rome remains a mystery.  After all is said and done Italy like all other European countries were inhabited by wandering tribes that kept on the move to whichever place provided shelter and food; when the latter was depleted the migrants moved on, as indeed was the case around the Globe for all we know.

Just one thing remains for this Part.  Somehow the old Italian Monks started making the finest dry White wines in the World; try Est. Est. if you don’t want to take my word for it; on the other hand Portugal found the way to make the best “green wines” from “green grapes” ever and nobody has ever come close to copy their Casal Garcia and Aveleda de Blanca.  Chilli in South America makes some fine ones but the Porra has the secret to it.  I do believe it is because they still in this age chuck the grapes in the old foot vats and the entire family takes part in the ritual; maybe I shall move to Portugal one day.

England at that time; the noble Knights of the Round Table; nobility of any kind?  My foot; they were a barbaric bunch until barely 100 years ago today.  It came as no surprise to me when Old Jomo started ridding Kenya of the curse in 1960.

Part 7 to follow soon; the Continent of Africa deserves a special Part to do it justice.

4 All Old Folks around the Globe Part 4 on the Truth of why the World is in the mess that we are in today

April 26, 2018

We are celebrating Independence Day in South Africa today, the 24th year since that Great Day on 27th April of 1994.

I beg of my Readers to allow me to explain; once and for all.

I am a follower and admirer of Freud on the influence of the environment in the formation of character.  In science I believe in gravity and never understood that some silly asshole had to stand under a tree with an apple falling on his head to prove the Law of Gravity; that apple was never going to fall anywhere else in the first place.  In matters of Economics I still believe in the Adam Smith analysis of Supply and Demand economics.I do not believe that Wars solve anything; the only War that ever served any purpose was when the American colonists kicked the English in the ass to become the first Nation ever to kick Mother England in the ass; the only problem was that it allowed England to proceed and set them free to exploit their positions for power in Africa and India.  There is a lot in written records about their efforts to Anglicize Africa; the pity is that nobody stood up against them.  The greatest pity is that America [where they had kicked all the “Royalists’ in the ass and confiscated their American property without any “compensation” after the 1812 War of Independence stepped forward in World Wars One and Two to save England from Germany and subsequently allowed them to grab ownership of South Africa’s mineral riches.

At that time the rest of Africa except Egypt and the northern part of the Continent had been invaded by the English [then the leading seafaring nation] but assisted by Portugal, Belgium, Italy et al, each one grabbing any slice that they liked.

By the time that England forced South Africa to form a Union of South Africa under the flag of England [very conveniently excluding the original populations of the land] and only allowing participation of the colonists, at that time a mix of English, French, Hollanders and somehow enough foreign religions to call them all a “Christian Nation” and as such they were obliged to rush to the defense of England in World Wars One and Two against Germany.  I got to admit that I would not have liked being Part of a “Greater Germany” during World War Two but I wasn’t born yet; must have been conceived by Mom and Dad just about the same day that England Declared War on Germany in 1939 because I saw the light of my first day on August 3rd 1940.  Mom told me in later years that it was on a Saturday.

However, Russia saved us from that potential disaster by defeating Germany and mercilessly hunted the remnants of the invading German armies down following their defeat in the fight for Moscow and saved England in the process.  Let us get this point clear once and for all. One: “Russia won World War Two”; it was not America that won it.  That America saved England is a fabrication of very tiny minds.

Two: “Were it not for Russia, and for China that stayed out of the silly war, the World of today would have been a different and a much better place” to live in.

America should thank their lucky stars for that and I shall deal with the South African situation in Part 5 in due course.

Down Memory Lane to this day in 1976

June 16, 2017

Friday, 16 June 2017

You have to be over 60 to have one; maybe in the old days you could have had one at 50 but no more.

In South Africa this day in 1976 was the dividing line between old memory days of April 6th, October 10th, December 16th and a few others.

It matters no more where your own private lane started or where you have gone since; at least not for groups no more though some have made it the starting point of their own.

I stood at the top of what was then the business centre of Commissioner Street in Old Johannesburg South Africa and cried for my Country.  Having just taken the first two steps up the Corporate Ladder in one go when traffic stopped moving in Commissioner Street; the new Carlton Centre was not even fully operating; the old Alhambra Theatre drinking hole was still there right across the street corner at the north western street junction with the Carlton and the yuppies gathered there every night; on Friday nights their ladies would join them and the place would be packed; full house every Friday.  The JSE was still referred to as Burnett Street.  Soon after it would become Diagonal Street and the Carlton would be a slum.

June 16th of 1976 was the trigger; today Diagonal Street is a slum; nobody in his right mind will drive into the upper east end of Commissioner Street today.

The sad point is that too many are still dwelling on the divisions of the past that made children aged 8 to 10 turn on school buildings and libraries to burn them down and which in turn made it necessary for the armed forces to stop the riots.  Nobody stopped to find the solutions; the Country is in greater agony than ever before.

[to be continued one day; when that will be, I cannot say because we are not working on finding the solutions].

The Natural Laws of Average and Majorities chapter One

May 21, 2017

The reader will soon see why this post is called chapter One.

 Try it:

If you Google “The Average Law” you will find:

Law of averages – Wikipedia

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_averages

The law of averages (which is not considered a valid mathematical rule or principle) is the belief that a particular outcome or event is inevitable or certain simply …

If you Google “The Law of Averages” you will find:

 https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/law%20of%20averages

 Definition of law of averages

  1. : the commonsense observation that probability influences everyday life so that over the long term the possible outcomes of a repeated event occur with specific frequencies.”

That is about all that is worth anything on Google on the matters of the Average Law or the Law of Average whichever you may choose to call it.  Do Google now and see what you come up with.

It was my good fortune to meet an old guy of my age in recent years with an interest in the Philosophy of History; we soon discovered points of agreement and other points of mutual interest in observation and interpretation of current and past events.  A bond developed out of that and the points on which we differed; that in turn lead to discussions on where we are in the World today and where we are going; where the World is going.

When we got to the basics we found that we were talking about what we have since decided to call “The Natural Laws of Average and Majorities” and that is what will form a book on the most astounding revelations of all the known sciences, peoples, countries, attitudes and humanity as compared with Nature.

He had spent a lifetime in research much like mine but he retained his faith in the survival of the species when he returned to rural life whereas I have more or less given up and recently decided to get “back to the City” as described in my two recent Posts One and Two right here.

We discussed that the other day and in some way or another [we had been talking of Natural Majorities] he said to me:

 “You know what?”

I said “no, please tell me.’

“If you want any clear idea simple, straight and most common proof of the value of current day communication it is in the fact that the vast majority of the public, or of humanity, that can read want to write and see their names in print.  That is why they are all on the Internet,” he said.

“And those that cannot read or write?” I asked.

 “They don’t count,” he replied.

 I was amazed.

“Which of the two groups is in the majority?” I asked.

To my amazement he replied: “Nobody knows the answer to that.”

Read Chapter Two when you see it.  We hope to publish it real soon.

Screw the Day of Reconciliation in South Africa

December 16, 2016

I was only born in 1940 so I had to learn about the 1838 Day of the Vow more than 100 years after the event; to crown it all we were born in a family where liberal was not a political word; it meant kindness, sharing and respecting the elderly and your neighbour.  So as I grew up I went the way of the old Liberal and ended up as a Suzman Prog in 1971 and eventually devoted my entire adult life to a system of political sharing.

However, though I voted ANC in 1994 and danced to the song of happiness with Beyers Naude and Oprah Winfrey, I soon became worried and the ANC left me when Thabo the Wimp in 1998 announced the vote for the prisoners for the 1999 Election.  Now they call 16th December the Day of Reconciliation; they can call it what they wish but I cannot in my heart, soul, mind, common sense and the basic Rule of the Lord by Nature reconcile:

I cannot reconcile the right to life of the rapist of a 2 year old baby.

Equality of gender allowing marriage between “parties of the same gender” and soon have them adopting babies to have a Daddy Daddy and a Momma Daddy each one fucking the little baby.  Every nerve is me says NO!

Sex and screwing your little hearts out at age 15 and have Abortion on Demand

Equality of Culture where my Culture does all the work and send the thief to jail where you slap him around a bit until he reforms himself, NO I cannot reconcile that with the right of the rats and common vermin with legs walking off with my garden tools.

My right to have a dog and train him to attack the trespasser on my property where they come and shoot my Dog and the trespasser walks off with my electric drill

NO South Africa, enough is enough.  You can take tour Freedom, your Democracy and all your Equality and shove it up your asses.

TODAY, ON THIS 16TH OF DECEMBER, 2016 MY DESCENDANTS AND I WILL REINSTALL THE DAY OF THE VOW OF 1838 AND CELEBRATE IT.

The Jury Verdict on Nelson Mandela has just been announced in South Africa.

December 9, 2016

Well Guys, we all know the verdict on the Media by now; we don’t count in their eyes no matter what and I don’t see any possibility for change except to curtail or even eliminate Freedom of the Media drastically.  The original concept of Freedom of the Press, and that’s all, may do it but I am afraid the damage has been done.

When I mooted the Media Test for all of you on December 1st in Facebook and suggested 8 days I knew the results that I expected.  The extra day since then merely confirmed the Result.

On February 10th in the year 1990 a man walked from prison after 27 years, illegally and disgracefully detained according to the Media; some reported it as illegal incarceration of an innocent man.

He died three years ago on December 5th 2016.   I watched a substantial part of the Media from December 1st until yesterday.  It is almost another 27 years sine 1990 and, surely I thought, a few people would remember him.

Nobody did; the Ego died.  I did not see anyone referring to the hoopla of 1990 or his demise into obscurity over the past three years; so much for Media Power?  The Jury Verdict sums it up so well in utter silence:  He was yesterday’s Icon and Hero; may he rest in his own place of Destiny wherever that may be.

Let us carry on with our Lives.

Of Time and the Inconvenient Truth about Freedom and Democracy and of Farcical Elections

November 22, 2016

Much has been made of Election 2016 and no doubt the farce will continue with “New Revelations” from the Media, until the next one.

Let us however consider the bottom line as presented by an independent Statistical Analyst.

 My source is:

 http://www.bbc.com/news/election/us2016/results

It cannot be argued Trump was elected by a clear majority of Electoral Delegates.  It is done, and bar any disaster he will be sworn in as Potus on January 20th next.

However, after all the hype let us look at the bottom line and you tell me who won and who lost the real election.  I am going to use percentages but drop the decimal points.  Qualified Analysts do it that way; if any other analyst finds fault with the method, you be the judge.

In truth almost half of eligible American Voters decided not to take part in the farce and therefore did not vote; about 5% of the actual votes were cast for “others” that we must assume to be more than one because it is quoted in plural.

In orderly societies free from Hollywood hype and the frantic and  fanatics of an immoral Media the small minority 5% for others may as well be discarded, or lumped in with the Non-voters.  Thus virtually exactly half of America did not vote in Election 2016.

What the rest does clearly show is that America is still a strong two-party State; nothing shows that there has been any change.  And this time each of the remaining two candidates shared the vote, give or take, with the final choice so tight that only a fool will bother about it.

Allow me to summarize:

Who won the White House?  Donald Trump did.

Who won the election?  Nobody did.

 Who lost the Election?  America!

Who won from the Election?  The Media did.

Who lost from the Election?  All Americans lost.

What have We the People gained from the Election?  Absolutely nothing.

Out in Africa we sometimes say you can take them out of the bush but you can’t take the bush out of them.  Three quarters of Americans [that’s now the one half that didn’t vote plus the roughly 25% that voted for the Illary] still live in Hollywood of the mind; the incoming 2016 Government will have to try getting Hollywood out of them.  Maybe they can try, but I don’t have high hopes for that

 Note to President Elect:

Mister Donald Trump, President Elect, Sir.

We the People of the World salute you and look forward to calling you Mister President, Sir!  We supported you and this old humble guy will publish an Open Letter to you soon as he will also do to the honorable Presidents of Russia and China.  They aren’t going away and are in no hurry to leave to go away anywhere; you have shown a willingness to join hands with them; please do that soon for a better World for all of us.

Ikepedia on Days and Dates

February 27, 2013

This is actually my fourth Post on Ikepedia.  It has been in my mind for a long time that I want to build on the theme and when another Blogger Friend commented favorably on the third one just the other day I made my decision.

My readers will thus see more in future; it is indeed a vast area for research and future Posts will include reference[s] to Calendars.  This time it is on a rather short matter coming up this weekend that I want to deal with on its own as a special topic at this time.  With your kind permission I will omit reference to other Calendars and use Gregorian calendar Dates for the peculiar situation applicable this weekend.

A short reference should suffice on what is sometimes referred to as “The curious History of the Gregorian Calendar way back in 1751 and 1752.  In case some young one should be tempted to shout “but that is just the other day; a mere 250 years ago” and the World as old as maybe millions or trillions of years.

To such a person I shall reply that the World may be or it may not be as old as some say but that is a topic for another day and I will point out that compared to the World as we know it today there was virtually nothing in it a mere 500 years ago.

Let us dwell on the approaching weekend as per the Gregorian calendar; it is I am sure only applicable to the one of the Pope.

In the year of 2013 February 01 was on a Friday to give us a long weekend from Friday through Sunday 3rd at the end of day; following from that March 01, 02 and 03 will also start on Friday through Sunday.  That in itself happens in cycles of 6 or eleven years; it is rare but not unusual.

However, in the year of 2013 the last three days of March, from 29 to 31 will also fall on the same days, once again not all that unusual but when you look a little further you will find that Easter Sunday is on March 31 this year.  Overall this is quite a rare combination.

Bear in mind that Pope Gregory’s advisers and scientists including the mathematics were of a time when nobody had computers; in fact, I don’t know that the mathematicians had got to discover the Slide Rule by that time.  I may stand corrected on this last point.  Either way and whatever other viewpoints there may be this happened and has worked well for us since long before steam, electricity and oil; the earth still believed to be flat by most had no need for planes or motorized transport for decades [centuries?] after Pope Gregory.

Easter Sunday of course, depends on the moon but this year [being in March] it is almost as early as it could ever be; and on any other day will not be in the combination of the First three days of February on the same days and dates as the first three of March, nor will you have the last three days of March including Easter Sunday falling on the same days.

There are mathematical formulae for all these things but I doubt that you will see more than one in a normal lifetime.

Take care, enjoy March, and be alive for an early spring in the Northern Hemisphere Monday April 1st.  We will probably hope for an early winter because we have had, though short, a nasty hot summer down where I live.

Any input of comment will be most welcome.
