Time

March 12, 2016

This matter has been with me for quite a while; an on the spur of the moment I had to decide whether I should say quite a while in the place of quite some time, and made the change.

Time is not only infinite; indeed it is but also much more than that.  Time is the basis and the spine; mortal man has no known definition of Time; we are too small for that; time is immemorial.

Time is the essence of Life; that in turn is a product of Time and the two go together hand and hand never to be separated though, or perhaps I should say because, one created the other and they are therefore, equals in any analysis of one of the two or both at the same time.  Life is, like Time, infinite, forever, both wholesomely rooted in a perfect design that will never end.

No human intervention or any science or discoveries still to come to combine with what we claim that we have already discovered, will ever change or have any influence on Time.  Time is free, everlasting, infinite I have already said, immemorial I have said that too, and will rule and guide us without human interference and the blemishes of human endeavor that are inevitably a part of human nature and was probably intended by Time to be so.

Modern Man is but in its infancy compared to Time and we have existed for a few short moments only when we look at Time.  Let us look at that later; suffices for now we are still infantile in the greater context of time.

Modern Science, to describe it is such because our definitions are lacking, has developed through the eras of the great Greek Philosophers, and some, like modern Sociology have Peer Groups, to guide the younger ones with some clear guidelines to which any new thinking must be submitted for approval, but which often end up in outright rejection by the Peer Group.

So, who is right?  Are the Peers to decide what is true?  What makes them Peers?  In the year of 2016 people like Richard Dawkins would be a Core Peer of the Group but in the time of Socrates he would be a fool and heretic.  Strange thing is that not so long ago in Time he would have perished on the Stake; in the 2016 of today the infantile can rule but in the scales of Time the Peer Groups of yesteryears are being rejected by new realities.

New realities are, of course, all inventions of the 20th century; they have no Peer Group.  “We are free at last” is the hue and cry of the day; there is Space, and that is where our future lies, mankind is about to kick the last remnants of the restricted past into the dust and Rule from Space; no, that’s an understatement; we shall conquer Cyber Pace and rule; indeed we are already in command of Cyber space; hell, they say, you old folks must get with it.

People are standing ready to exit their bedrooms through the mirror in the morning, right on the other side space is waiting and they will walk straight into it through the mirror [a mere press of the button will do it]; out to the office workplace into space they will go; bye for now kids, Daddy will be home tonight.

They will set up new fresh water systems from the moon through all the planets; Mars will be a paradise of Green Peace; Pluto will send clouds when we press the computer button; rain will fall and the sun will shine when we want it to do.  Yes, Oh Yes, Man will take control of his Manifest Destiny.

What did you say?  Did you say or mention God?  Well, don’t do that again.  We are now God.

Until the end of time, they will say,.…, not knowing present mankind will end, well like in tomorrow in time.

But Time will continue.  What is left of last week’s Mankind will pick up the pieces of yesterday and the few weeks of yesteryear and start out on the next Cycle of Time.

To be continued.

History with a short glance at Greece today

July 24, 2015

J.F Kennedy ran for and won the American Presidential Election in the year I had turned 20.

The youth of the time were not as bright as the young ones of today; we didn’t yet know everything but we did speak a lot about how much we knew.

A disease named VD scared most of us but not everyone; in my time though, only one friend collected the dubious distinction; most of us married the first girl he got to know.

Some years later as the youth got to know more somebody announced the discovery of a more serious affliction than VD and they called it Herpes. As young ones became cleverer and soon knew everything they also discovered Aids but that was long after our time.

Some wise crack in his mid twenties came out with the rather comical joke during the Herpes period.

Question: What is the difference between Love and Herpes?

Answer: Herpes lasts forever.

Now that everyone knows everything when he/she is 18, even has the vote [heck in our time we had to wait for 21]; heck, I wonder who can solve this riddle.

Question: What is the difference between Greece and the EU?

Ah well, I am old enough now and Greece is very old; let me give you the answer:

What is the difference? Answer: Greece will last forever.

Happy 4th of July, America

July 4, 2015

The Hot One in the skies has made his turn and added one minute sunshine to the Southern Hemisphere today.

 See:

 https://ikejakson.wordpress.com/2015/06/21/sundays-sunny-days-and-clear-skies/

You guys will see him at his highest straight above Eastport Maine today. Sorry, I had made a mistake and called it East Point in the above Post.

Jim, come in from Iowa and get me the best pic you can get of the whirlpool just above that place where you buy the live lobster and they cook it for you on the spot.

And watch the sun moving down; it has turned only 4 minutes since June 21st but it will pick up speed now.

Happy 4th of July, and Remember the Alamo.

Sundays, sunny days and clear skies

June 21, 2015

To a dear friend I care for and sommer to all of you.

It’s not bad here at 2015/06/21 09:43:24 AM on my computer this morning.

Today is the shortest day in our hemisphere; my weather program says sunrise at 07:47 and sunset at 17:47 i.e. exactly 10 hours sunlight. Some years ago I did the East Coast of America in June and picked a place called East Point in Maine to overnight and wait for the 4th of July. In your own Motorhome you can stand wherever you want to anyway. East Point is more or less on latitude 45 and happens to be the Eastern-most point of the ole US of A. It’s also the home base of the Maine Lobster. The mid-day temperature was Hotazel like in the Western Transvaal in mid December.

Did you know that the sun runs faster near end March and end September than June up north and December down here? At “full speed” it regularly moves up to 3 minutes per day but slows down from early June or December and often stands dead still for two or three days at a time for refueling, maintenance and taking on migrant labor to repair and replace whatever is needed for the return run? It often remains stationary for almost a week around 21st June and December. It’s all high-tech scientifically mille-seconds accurate.

You can easily prove it with a simpler example; watching a pumpkin plant from the day it sprouts the first leave above ground. You will also note that the grown pumpkin doesn’t roll off the earth at night time.

All migrant workers are engaged for exactly ten days at a time; they have to get off before the permanent crew members restart the engines. When old Sun hits the Equator March and September it really goes at top speed sometimes almost touching 4 minutes on a good day.

Come stay with me one day and I will show you my statistics of the four seasons, from which one feller name of Ike Jakson developed the modern Flat Earth Theory.

Can you buy me some Hulett’s brown caramel sugar and bring it with you next time you visit old civilization? Ockie has run out of it at the Oasis Supermarket. I shall refund you.

PS: The word “sommer” in the first line is a Dutch word, meaning sommer, like in it’s sommer a lekka word.

The EU Whorehouse Comedy.

June 13, 2015

The European Union never was anything other than a high class whorehouse; somebody had the wild dream that it could be the Elite Club for selected Members and the Banking Whores of selected countries to form a private bastion for financial gain of Members Only; no Americans allowed to enter.

Nobody gave a single thought to China, Russia or Asia.

Did they really think that they could pull it off, or did they simply never give it a thought?

America has always been pre-occupied with their fears of Russia and China and kept the World informed of Communist ideology in order to maintain financial supremacy, also in the belief that they would in the course of time be handed the long anticipated boom in African Trade on a plate and never even saw the folly of their isolation across the pond. They missed the rise of Entrepreneurial China, Russia and Asia by the proverbial mile but finally woke up though it was too late to stop the rising Asian giants.

Fortunately, or so some Americans thought, Crimea came up and they scrambled in for the kill in the hope that it would also give them a new foot in the door to trade with Europe. Shucks, they even managed to convince Merkel and France to support them against Russia. The oil price helped a little; they even started to think that they can now take Russia out, but once again forgot to check up on old history; kind of surprised to find that China is backing Russia to the hilt.

Then little old Greece decided they had paid enough to the Whores of Europe and the Comedy commenced.

In the past week hardly one day has passed without at least ten commentaries on Grexit in the World Financial Media. Two days ago some started adding Brexit for extra laughs during interval.

Now I am not saying that the Greeks have a strong poker hand in the present turmoil but it seems obvious that the EU Whores are in the same predicament. Someone may be sitting with three aces; who knows? It’s a game that can probably be won by two small pairs.

I wonder what makes me think that the Greeks may just have that and actually dare to play it.

The bloody thing landed OK, then

April 17, 2015

Pray, tell me what this stupid bastard, funded by NASA with billions of dough, is trying to achieve?

http://news.yahoo.com/spacex-tries-again-launch-space-station-groceries-154114048.html

In another report on the inevitable Musk is quoted as saying the “the bloody thing landed OK, then just tipped over and …” the obvious result.

The experiments to land the rocket on a platform in the ocean seems a noble one because it can be rewired or whatever and they can use it again, thus reducing overall expenditure.

What I don’t understand is that they keep on shooting the stuff up into the skies. What on earth for? Oh well, the answer is simple, it is not for on earth or the benefit of anything on earth.

Science badly gone awry; ego of mankind is so great and the poor must pay to maintain the silly efforts.

Whacko Space Exploration and Earth Craters

March 25, 2015

Ayup sayeth the man, this here is a hole in the ground; indeed a big hole it is too. They call it a crater, he says.

“A 400km wide impact area from a meteor crater has been discovered in Australia. An asteroid that broke up into two pieces before colliding near earth caused the impact. What has baffled the rock scientists, however, is that matching an extinction event to the impact has proved elusive. Since such a large crater would have caused a mass extinction event, identifying ash layers in the sediment rock would have been a giveaway, except none exist that can be found. BBC

Scientists in Australia have discovered what they say is the largest asteroid impact area ever found.

The 400-kilometre (250-mile) wide area is buried deep in the earth’s crust and consists of two separate impact scars.

The team behind the discovery, from the Australian National University (ANU), said the asteroid broke into two before it hit, with each fragment more than 10km across.

The impact is thought to have occurred at least 300 million years ago.

The surface crater has long since disappeared from central Australia’s Warburton Basin but geophysical modelling below the surface found evidence of two massive impacts, said Dr Andrew Glikson, who led the ANU team.

“It would have been curtains for many life species on the planet at the time,” said Dr Glikson.

But the team, which published its findings in the geology journal Tectonophysics, has not been able to connect the impact to any known extinction.

“It’s a mystery – we can’t find an extinction event that matches these collisions,” said Dr Glikson. “I have a suspicion the impact could be older than 300 million years.”

The rocks around the impact zone are roughly 300 to 600 million years old, but a layer of ash that would have been thrown up by the impact has not been detected as sediment in rock layers from the same period.

The large meteorite believed to have killed the dinosaurs 66 million years ago corresponds to a layer of sediment in rocks around the world.

“Large impacts like these may have had a far more significant role in the Earth’s evolution than previously thought,” Dr Glikson said.

The apparent impact zone in the Warburton Basin was discovered by accident while scientists were drilling 2km under the Earth’s surface for a geothermal research project.

The dig returned traces of rock that had been turned to glass by extreme temperature and pressure, consistent with a massive impact.

So what? That’s my gut reaction. Now we know everything in great clear detail.

The African-Canadian Example

March 23, 2015

Howdy America? This is not for Canada but for you in America, all 57 States, please.

Read this first before I shall endeavor to explain the reasons for this Post. Read it well; in fact use your minds and study it until you can recite it verbatim, otherwise you won’t be able to understand what I am about to tell you in my follow-up Post.

To help you, I have included the contents of the link, so you don’t have to go to any trouble opening links and all that. The link is really only included for you to send to your fellow Americans, the entire White House Staff, entire Congress and the entire Senate, all State Governor Offices, State Congress and Senates. In fact, try getting it into the houses of all Americans.

 Black Canadian Like Me

It took a Jill Scott concert in Toronto to show that when it comes to black Canadians and black Americans, there’s a lot more dividing us than a border.

 By: Alyson Renaldo

Posted: April 25 2011 12:11 AM

My friends and I attended a Jill Scott concert in Toronto a few years back. We were very excited. Her music was like an oasis of craft in a desert landscape of mediocrity. As Jill belted out those notes, we sang along and swayed. She led into her wicked tune “It’s Love” by inviting the audience to think about “lovin’, like, we do that good, down-home soul food, you know, candied yams, collard greens, biscuits and gravy, smothered … “

The audience went silent. I remember thinking, “Gravy goes on bread? Really? Candied yams, you say? You mean licorice and a chocolate bar belong on a vegetable? Wow. Oh, I get it — she’s just setting up her experience in the song. But, well, not really, because she’s asking us to reminisce with her, which means we’re supposed to know about these strange food combinations, too.”

One of my friends jokingly turned to the rest of us with, “I don’t think they know there are others on the planet with them. Maybe she thinks the ‘c’ in ‘Canada’ really stands for ‘Carolinas.’ “We laughed. I chimed in with, “After the concert, let’s go to Romania and talk love over curry and roti.” We howled with laughter and went on enjoying the concert.

In truth, however, our comments were made not from humor but from disappointment, which we all felt but chose to ignore. After all, we were here to celebrate Jill’s uniqueness and relevance. Her assumption that her cultural experiences should mirror ours, here, in a completely different country, suggested that she didn’t value our uniqueness and relevance.

Ignorance (or dismissal) of black Canadians as a community was not uncommon to us, but what made this time a little more difficult to swallow was the source. Ordinarily, the source was Caucasians, not people of color, and certainly not black folks.

Could black Americans be as clueless about otherness as Caucasians can often be? Nope, no way; I couldn’t believe that. After all, black Americans vigorously resisted marginalization of their community by speaking up, building universities and creating media outlets and businesses reflective of their sensibilities. They have a profound understanding of how corrosive marginalization can be. I didn’t know what was happening with Jill that night, but I decided that it must have been a mishap. Or was it?

An Invisible Culture within Canada

Growing up, I wished to be in a country remotely aware of its minority population, and from my perspective, that country was the States. So when I graduated from high school, I decided to make a stand against what I believed to be white Canadian apathy toward black Canadians: I decided to attend an American university.

I am a black woman, born and raised in Canada, a nation whose black population barely makes up 2 percent of its approximately 30 million people. I often felt that Canada was not aware we even existed. The mainstream media outlets pushed us to the margins. In the ’90s, when I was in high school, MuchMusic, Canada’s 24-hour video music station, featured R&B music once a week for an hour. The hip-hop show came on for half an hour on weekdays at 3:30 in the afternoon … school let out at 3:10.

Still, I would be flat out lying were I not to confess that growing up in Canada, in terms of the standard of living, bordered on idyllic. For the most part, Canadians live a middle-class existence; even struggling individuals can access basic needs because of the nation’s government-driven mandate of social responsibility. Essentially, Canada is invested in seeing its citizens obtain bootstraps so that they will be afforded the opportunity to pull them up.

Spreading the Power

March 21, 2015

It’s a riddle without a solution really; well, unless you call disaster a solution. Let me explain.

Americans will remember the old days during the time of Joe the Plumber when the slogan became “Spreading the Wealth” and what followed on that. Spreading the Power was the real purpose as you will soon see, and live to regret it.

Wise countries with governments that care for and love their countries don’t spread the power. That’s why you will find that Russia, China, Japan and a few others will contain power in the hands of their race. Show me an African-Russian or a Kenyan Chinaman and I will swallow my ignorance on the matter. I dare you, show me.

Australia is another one to watch; they have no idea or desire to accept or adopt African-Australians. They are perfectly happy with keeping power in the hands of Australians.

You will find that Canadians seem to be making a stand; there will soon be a Post on that.

America and England are now at risk and may fall before this half century ends in 2060. England is doomed for it to happen long before that.

Wake up America, the balance of power in your land is so close to the point of tipping the scales and you ending up an African country before you know it. Another two years of the Kenyan and one more term for the Democrats ought to do it.

Take my advice. There is only one possibility to save your bacon. Take all those Mexican Americans including the currently illegal Mexican immigrants and make them full-fledged Americans voting for the Republican Party. Let me give you the proof: you won’t find one single Mexican-African or African-Mexican anywhere in the World. Try me on this one.

Mexicans are simply too smart to fall for the African bit; the two don’t mix at all. Mexicans are workers; that’s all they want to do. The terms [words] Africans and work are incongruent with each other.

You can still save America if you follow my advice. If you don’t I will send you what you will become when Africanized, in all the ugly graphical detail that is now playing off in South Africa. Even the Liberal Whites are now fleeing the Country. Surely you should know about Alan Paton; read this link; read it ten times if you have to:
